The Chicago Cubs were established in 1876, but before they were know as the Cubs they went by The Chicago White Stockings. They joined the NL Central league where they still play to this day. The first owner was William Hulbert. The Cubs Cardnals Rivalries can be dated back to the 1885 and 1886 seasons.
